I really think the CSA box this year is better than last year, even with the drought Minnesota (and every state I believe) is experiencing.
Contents this week: green peppers, red new potatoes, cilantro, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, beets, corn, onions, parsley.
If I had to go into a grocery store with a list of veggies, I would have gotten ABSOLUTELY everything in this box. I’m excited to plan our meals for the week!
When I got this box my first thought was TOMATOES ALREADY?! Not that I’m mad, it is just really early. Very exciting though, and an amazing assortment of veggies this week too.
Contents: carrots, basil (two tons of it!), red chard, green beans, red leaf lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, cauliflower and dill. I already gave the dill and a few cucumbers away but the rest I’m already planning my dinners/lunches out of!
Not the best photo, clearly. Box #5 contained: zucchini, new potatoes, kohlrabi, broccoli, basil, cauliflower, onions, green beans. EXCELLENT box. I’ve already used the contents to make pesto, stir fry and salads.
A picture of CSA Box #4 does not exist as gave it away to our pals who watched our dog last week.
